IDENTIFICATION.

Identify what item number and description are the following stated: 

ITEM 103 -STRUCTURE EXCAVATION1. This Item shall consist of the necessary
excavation for foundation of bridges, culverts, underdrains, and other structures not
otherwise provided for in the Specifications.

ITEM 105 – SUBGRADE PREPARATION2. Prior to commencing preparation of the

subgrade, all culverts, cross drains, ducts and the like (including their fully compacted
backfill), ditches, drains and drainage outlets shall be completed. 

ITEM 701- CONSTRUCTION LIME (HYDRATED)3. Type NA and SA are air-entrained

hydrated limes that are suitable for use in any of the above uses where air-
entrainment are desired. 

ITEM 103- STRUCTURE EXCAVATION4. It shall include the furnishing and placing of
approved foundation fill material to replace unsuitable material encountered below the
foundation elevation of structures.

ITEM 104- EMBANKMENT5. Where provided on the Plans and Bill of Quantities the top
portions of the roadbed in both cuts and embankments, as indicated, shall consist of
selected borrow for topping from excavations. 

ITEM 708- CHEMICAL ADMIXTURES FOR CONCRETE6. The concrete chemical

admixture shall be classified as follows and shall conform to the requirements of
AASHTO M 194.
 
ITEM 709- PAINTS7. This Item covers all paint materials including Vehicles, Pigment,
Pastes, Driers, Thinner sand Mixed Paints for steel and wooden structures.
 
ITEM 106- COMPACTION EQUIPMENT AND DENSITY CONTROL STRIPS 8. When
specified, this procedure will be used to determine density requirements of
selected embankments, subgrade, bases, and bituminous concrete. 
ITEM 101- REMOVAL OF STRUCTURES AND OBSTRUCTIONS9. All designated
salvable material shall be removed, without unnecessary damage, in sections or
pieces which may be readily transported, and shall be stored by the Contractor at
specified places on the project or as otherwise shown in the Special Provisions. 
ITEM 100- CLEARING AND GRUBBING10.The Engineer will establish the limits of
work and designate all trees, shrubs, plants and other things to remain. 

II. ENUMERATION
