recovery would follow from the pandemic-induced recession,
owing to Western governments’ massive fiscal- and monetary-
policy responses and the high probability that effective vaccines

(especially early this year), so, too, did the likelihood of a strong
recovery.

The dean of Texas A&M University at Qatar (Tamuq),

personally congratulate each graduating engineer
from its Class of 2021.
César Octavio Malavé helped graduating students
celebrate a special time in their lives by visiting each
of them at their homes and presenting them with
their engineering degrees, with his trip taking place
from May 9-13.
Tamuq graduated 107 engineers on May 5, with its
Class of 2021 including 89 Aggies who received
bachelor’s degrees in chemical engineering,
electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and
petroleum engineering.
Twenty-two graduates were recognised as
Undergraduate Research Scholars of Texas A&M’s
main campus in College Station, and 35 students
graduated with Latin honours.
Tamuq also awarded 18 master’s degrees in chemical
engineering.
