Pot of Ghee

Once there were two women named Radha and Geeta lived in a kingdom. Radha owned some goats
and Geeta owned cows. They used to milk goat and cows and used this milk for their daily needs. One
day Radha and Geeta were having an argument over a ‘Pot of Ghee’. Both of them were claiming to own
that pot of ghee. To solve this problem they appeared in the king’s court.

Geeta said,” My lord, this pot of ghee belongs to me. I own cows and as all know that cows yield more
milk than goats, so after full filling daily needs of my family, I was left with some milk from which I had
made butter and then Ghee. So this pot belongs to me”. Everyone in the court believes Geeta. Radha
was standing there sad and helplessly.

The king of that kingdom was very clever. He listened to the whole story. After a few minutes he told
one of his guards to give one bowl of water to each of them. Guard did the same as king told. Then king
told both of them to wash their face and hands with the water given to them. Geeta was able to wash
only her hands with the water given, on other hand Radha washed her face and hands and even after
washing her hands and face there is still some water left in her bowl.

Watching this king did not take much time to understand that the pot of ghee belongs to Radha who
own goats because she knows how to use the milk carefully. After this Geeta also confessed that she
was lying and felt sorry. Radha was very happy. She thanked the King. King told that everyone should
learn from Radha how to use the things carefully.
