Read Chapter 8 DEVIANCE AND SOCIAL CONTROL on page 196 from your text book
(10th Edition) and provide your answer accordingly. Your answer should not exceed more
than 200 words.
Your summary must include the following theories:

1. Differential Association Theory:  Interactions with others, individuals learn


the values, attitudes, techniques, and motives for criminal behavior.
The differential association theory is the most talked about of the
learning theories of deviance
Families involved in crime may set their children on a lawbreaking path.

4. The final bond, belief, is an agreement on common values in society. If a person views
social values as beliefs, he or she will conform to them.
