What is Industry 4.0?

Industry 4.0 is also considered as the Industrial Internet of Things and it is still on the verge of
drastically changing the way in which industrial operation works.

Over the years, the industry has revolutionized and made the transformation of data more
easier and efficient. Industrial Revolution or Industry 4.0 is the fourth Industrial Revolution to
be precise. The first industrial revolution was the use of machines; the second was the use of
machines for mass production and the third was the digitalization of machines. Now it is the
Automation of Machines- Industrial Automation.

Industry $.0 or Industrial Automation can be divided in to seven categories:

 Artificial Neural Networks

 Human Machine Interface
 Robotics
 Distributed Control System
 Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition
 Programmable Logic Controller(
 3D Printing

Industry 4.0 refers to a new phase in the Industrial Revolution that focuses heavily on
interconnectivity, automation, machine learning, and real-time data. Industry 4.0, also
sometimes referred to as Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) or smart manufacturing, marries
physical production and operations with smart digital technology, machine learning, and big
data to create a more holistic and better-connected ecosystem for companies that focus on
manufacturing.

It connects physical with digital and allows for better collaboration and access across
departments, partners, vendors, product, and people. Industries 4.0 empower business owners
to better control, understand every aspect of their operation, and allow them to leverage
instant data to boost productivity, improve processes, and drive growth.
