Fintech second site visit

I took a trip to fintech to check out how far the site has progressed since the start
of the semester. The very first thing I noticed is that the slabs have been laid
down on the first floor. This element was missing on the first visit, due to
weather/rain issues. Another thing I noticed is that fire proofing has been laid
down on all beams and columns and a lot of structural components that were
missing before were laid down. There was also steel framing that was put up on
the side walls. Another thing I noticed was that there was a display of outer wall
paneling on the side of the building. This display looked quite intricate and had
many different panels. It seems like the developer is inching towards finishing the
structural components of the site, and moving on with the architectural portions of
the project. Another thing I noticed was that within the interior of the project a lot
of the plumbing and electrical components have been set up. These components
were a work in progress just about a month or so ago. Overall It was pretty
amazing to see how fast pace a project of this magnitude is progressing. Just
about two months ago they just started to pour slabs from top to bottom. Now the
majority of the structural components seem in place and they are looking to move
on with outer wall paneling and then moving onto interior components. Overall,
this my seminar class was an extremely insightful experience. Seeing sites and
seeing the work that we are learning about is extremely important. I also got a lot
of valuable insight from the industry professionals on the sites we visited.
