COMPARATIVE RESPIRATORY SYSTEM OF DOMESTIC ANIMALS

OUTCOMES

At the end of the exercise, the student must be able to:

1. Know the anatomical structures of the respiratory system of the different domestic
animals.
2. Memorize the number of tracheal rings and the number of lobes of the lungs of the
different domestic animals.

MATERIALS

Different lungs of different animals.

PROCEDURE AND GUIDE

1. Compare the shape of the nostril openings of dog, cat, pig, cattle, sheep, horse and
chicken.
2. Length of the tracheal tube and the characteristics of the tracheal rings.
