Phrasal verb is an idiomatic phrase consisting of verb + adverb or verb + preposition. Think of them as any other
English vocabulary.
Each phrasal verb conveys a specific meaning. Many phrasal verbs often have more than one meaning.
• Verb + adverb, as in break down (meaning: stop functioning / get upset)
• Verb + a preposition, for example see to/ look for
