Project Title Andromeda – Weyes Blood

Section 1: Review (Approx 100 words)

Starting this course, I was unfamiliar with how to use the editing software and the camera
equipment that we had to use for filming at college. However, after completing multiple
workshops that taught us the steps, I feel much more confident in how to use the
equipment and editing software. I also feel more comfortable with presenting and
communicating after doing presentations in class and for our pitches. I now know about the
many stages that go into creating a media product. This has all allowed me to have the
confidence to work independently.

Section 2: Project Concept (approx 250 words)

The idea for the music video of this song will be to communicate its meaning through a
conceptual narrative. The song is loosely about accumulating negative experiences during
life that lead you to become very closed off and guarded and you hope for something to
come along and make you happier. A small out of world object will appear into someone's
life and slowly begin to make them feel more fulfilled and open, it will all turn out to be a
dream, but the object will appear in her waking life because of her belief. The filming dates
for this project are the 26th of April to the 9th of May. During these dates I'll be using the
colleges camera (Sony X70) and audio equipment to film footage and record audio for my
music video outside of college independently with my featured actor. For this music video, I
will need to include a prop that resembles a celestial object, the object I’m using to show
this is a patterned spherical light that I had found online. If I want to learn how to achieve a
certain effect, look, or shot when filming or editing, I may need to conduct some
independent study. When it comes to feedback from tutors and peers, I will try to adapt my
project in a way that incorporates their feedback as best as possible. The footage will be
edited on ‘Final cut pro’ at the Weston college campus. Overall, I want my audience to be
visually pleased and have hope for their future.

Section 3: Evaluation (approx 50 words)

Throughout this project I will be recording my progress and development for my music
video on my Weebly. This will include any meetings with tutors to talk about my idea and
how I can grow it. The final screening of the music video will allow me to reflect on my
project and future projects from tutor and peer feedback given.
