SUBJECT ; OBSERVANCE OF THE DRUG ABUSE PREVENTION AND

CONTROL WEEK ON 11-17 NOVEMBER 2018

In the Interest of the service and pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No.

124, series of 2001 "Declaring the Third VVeek of November of Every Year as Drug
Abuse Prevention and Control Week," the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) will be
spearheading the nationwide celebration of the "Drug Abuse Prevention and Control
Week" on 11-17 November 2018 with this year's theme, "LISTEN FIRST - Listening
to children and youth is the first step to help them grow healthy and safe" which
will kick-off at the Municipal Plaza of Lucban, Quezon on 12 November 2018.

In this regard, you are encouraged to undertake the following activities:

1. Putting-up streamers/banners in strategic places in your agency with the

attached template;
2. Posting of the event and its theme on your electronic billboard, (if any); and
3. Participation of your staff along with the many advocates of your locality
during the Kick-off Ceremonies.

Food, transportation and other incidental expenses shall be borne by the

sending agency, subject to the rules and regulations of the Department of Budget and
Management(DBM)and the Commission on Audit(CCA).
