VOCATION
VOCATION- DEEP GLADNESS MEETS THE WORLD'S DEEP NEED
Theologian Frederick Buechner used to say, “vocation is the place where your deep
gladness meets the world's deep need".
CHRISTIAN VOCATION
Christian vocation is more than the work of pastors, priests and religious. Oscar Romero
would say - all the Christians are called to live our call or vocation. Vocation is as service
when we meet the challenges and needs of others by serving them in all that we do. He
expects is to give our lives to him and in so doing.
WE ARE HUMAN BEINGS, NOT HUMAN DOINGS
God is far more interested in who we are than what we do. We are human beings, not
human doings. Good is concerned about our character than our career. He does not expect
us to be famous, Rick, popular or beautiful. He always expects us to live a precious call,
which he has given to each one of us.

LIVE A PRECIOUS CALL,

GIVEN BY GOD
THE CALL
WE ARE CALLED TO BE
Before being called to something, we are called to someone. Before we are called to do, we
are called to be. God has created us to be his and to have a significant place in this world.
We are all created with purpose. As the followers of Christ, we are called to live as god's
people where we are and in whatever we do. Through our individual lives, God works for
his Kingdom.
UNDERSTAND GOD'S AGENDA
The closer we walk with God, the more we understand God's agenda or plan for the
humanity and our part in it. It does not matter what we have been doing up to this moment.
God calls us to be a part of his Great work in this world and there by become the person he
created us to be. Place our hope in him and respond to his call that we may find and fulfill
the central purpose of our life.

I SURRENDER…
I WILL TRUST YOUR PLAN FOR MY LIFE
Matthew 6: 31-34

REFLECTION
Let us trust God and try to live worthy of our precious call, which is given by
God as valuable and free Gift. Always remember, “You have not chosen me, but
I have chosen you”. Therefore, Let us live according to our call.
