RECRUITMENT CASE DISCUSSION

QUESTION 1:
- Firstly, ATS is committed to hiring military veterans.
- Secondly, ATS also watches for factory closings and recruits the experienced workers
from these shut down operations.
- Thirdly, ATS collaborates with high schools and community colleges where it operates.

QUESTION 2:
- Because every company needs a diversity in the pool of candidates, when ATM
collaborates with high schools and colleagues, they have the opportunity to meet
potential employees, educate them and give them the interest from the early days to
build long term relationships with them. The young generation is more creative,
innovative, well-trained, high risk taking, higher competitive spirit.
- There are some positions that are not suitable for the experienced employees so that the
company may need a source of young and new laborers to fill that gap.
- The experienced workers somehow have a certain level of loyalty and competency for
the old factories which may result in unfulfilling engagement in a new company.
- The old labors may not adapt to the new technology or be creative, but they may desire
much more than what they deserve for their experience. Especially as they are almost
retiring, the company will lose time and cost to train new labors.
