LuLu-Yardley promotion draw held

574 face prosecution
for violating Covid
measures
The designated authorities
have referred 574 people to
prosecution for violating the
preventative and precaution-
ary measures enforced by the
country to contain the spread
of the coronavirus (Covid-19),
the Ministry of Interior (MoI)
said yesterday.
Among these, 436 people were
referred to the prosecution for
not wearing masks in places
where they are mandatory, 83
for gathering at parks and the
Corniche, 51 for not maintain-
ing safe physical distancing,
and three for not installing the
Ehteraz app.
One person was referred to
the prosecution for violating
the rule on the number of
people allowed in a vehicle.
The measure is in line with the
Cabinet decision, Decree Law
No 17 of 1990 on infectious
diseases, and the precaution-
ary measures in force in the
country to contain the spread
of Covid-19.
The authorities have called on
the public to adhere to the pre-
cautionary measures in place
to ensure their safety and that
of others.

he Qatar Parachute Team
(Al Hadaf) achieved third
place and the bronze med-
al in the International Dolomiti
Cup, which concluded today in
Belluno, Italy, with the partici-
pation of a large number of inter-
national teams at the team and
individual level.
Mohamed al-Attas also won
the bronze medal after achieving
third place in the singles compe-
titions.

ew coronavirus (Cov-
id-19) cases in Qatar
dropped below 300 yes-
terday as the Ministry of Public
Health (MoPH) reported 283 new
confirmed cases, 175 of which
were from community and 108
travellers returning from abroad.
The MoPH also recorded 353
recoveries from the coronavirus
during the past 24 hours, bring-
ing the total number of recover-
ies in Qatar to 210,942, the Qatar
News Agency (QNA) reported.
The ministry announced the
death of a 50-year-old patient,
who was chronically ill, and had
received the necessary medical
care.
The ministry said that

Swiss removes Qatar from ‘risk’ list
The Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH), Switzerland, has removed
Qatar from its list of “risk countries”, which means travellers from Qatar
are no longer be required to undergo quarantine upon arrival in the
European nation.
Along with Qatar, the FOPH removed seven other countries, including
Palestine and Austria (Land Oberosterreich and Land Salzburg) from
the list.
The FOPH decision stipulates that arrivals from the eight places,
which are permitted entry to Switzerland, are no longer required to
quarantine.
However, they still need to undergo a PCR test result 72 hours before
entering Switzerland, which should result negative.
Moreover, people who do not possess a negative coronavirus (Cov-
id-19) test result must undergo testing in Switzerland using a PCR or a
