MOTION FOR LEAVE TO SERVE

SUMMONS BY PUBLICATION

Petitioner, by counsel, respectfully avers that:

On January 23, 2021, petitioner filed a petition for

recognition of foreign divorce decree;

However, summons could not be served on respondent as

he is presently residing in Washington, USA;

Considering that respondent does not reside in the

Philippines and this case affects the personal status of the
petitioner, she most respectfully moves with leave of court to
serve summons by publication in accordance with Rule 14,
Section 17 of the Rules of Court;

WHEREFORE, plaintiff prays from the Honorable Court

leave to serve summons on respondent by publication.
