Dear Math Mastery students,

The main goal of the Math Mastery Online Series is to help you learn effective problem-solving
strategies and how to develop your critical thinking skills. And the best way to maximise your
learning is to interact and participate in every lesson.

Instead of just watching this video, you will benefit much more if you are active in class: ask more
questions, share your answers, take part in the quiz and do all you can to score extra points!

As such, we have given all of you the opportunity to participate and win exciting prizes in the
upcoming Epic Math Battle.

Each student will be able to join a team. They will have a chance to score points for themselves as
well as their team by (i) sitting for the online quiz or (ii) participating in other activities as
instructed by their coach.

At the end of the Epic Math Battle,

• All students who score at least 150 points will be awarded the Certificate of Completion.
• The Top 10 students with the most points will be awarded the Certificate of Achievement
and win an autographed copy of my book which will be sent to you by post.
• The team with the most points will be given Terry Chew’s Secret Bible. This is a handbook
containing study tips and notes for the most important Math Olympiad competition
topics handpicked by myself.

I hope that by participating in the upcoming Epic Math Battle, you develop a keen interest and
deep understanding of mathematics.
