1.) Bend a loop in each end of the wire so that both loops are facing the same
way. (see pic)
2.) Center your wire in your round nose pliers with loops facing up and bring
both wires around to make a center loop.

Spiral Connecting Links
Spirals are standards in much of today's wire working jewelry. Here is how to
make a connecting link using a spiral. You'll need these supplies:
4-inches 20 gauge wire or thicker
1.) Create your spiral stop before you get to the last time your wire goes around.
5.) Go past half way and then trim your wire and make your final loop so it sits
across from the first loop. You can tap with a plastic hammer to harden or
flatten with a hammer.

How to Make a Clover Clasp

This wire wrapped jewelry clasp always gets a thumbs up from everyone who
sees it - and it's very easy to make!
1.) Cut 2 inches of wire with your flush cutters. Make a loop and flatten it.
2.) About one half of an inch up from the loop grasp your wire with the base of
your round nose pliers and make a loop.
3.) Wrap the end of the wire at least one full turn just above the smaller loop. I
used my flat nose pliers to hold the large loop while wrapping. You can use your
chain nose pliers. Hammer the larger loop flat at the curve.
4.) Begin by making the clover the same way you make clover links, with one
exception. You need to make the leaves of the clover in a clockwise fashion so
that the open leaf is not across from the open hook. Look at the picture at the
top of the page to see where the 2nd open leaf is. You don't want this across
from the hook because that will make the clasp less strong.
5.) Loop the hook letting the wire stick straight out so that you can work with it.
5.) Hammer and round up the tip of the hook part of the clasp. Then hammer
the round parts of each loop to harden the wire. I flatten the loop of the clasp,
but you can just tap it hard if you wish.

I loved how these turned out. Once you have the hang of wire wrapping open
spirals, they are very simple to make. Practice on copper first, although that is
starting to go up in price, huh? here is a matching beaded bracelet.
3.) Put one beaded head pin on the wire. Begin making an open spiral on the
opposite end going the other way to form your 'S'. This is the bottom, so you will
go all the way around once or a little more. Make your 'S' a little bottom heavy.
6.) Enjoy!
2.) Coming out of loop #7, wrap the wire around loop #1 and then bend upwards
at a 90 degree angle.
4.) Loop and wrap the top, add your earwire. Repeat for the second earring.
5.) Enjoy!
3. Using your round nose pliers, bring the two looped sides together
by bending in the middle.
4. Attach the wire wrapped hearts to the eyepin in the spiral.
5. Attach the piece to the earwire.
6. Repeat for the send earring.
Swirly fun!
