“ For me culture is sacred it symbolizes not only the place but also the people
who live there and the practices that they have up until now.”

“ My own perspective about CULTURE is it is part of our daily


life, the way we interact to other people and the we live. It is also
essential to each and every country because through culture we
can deeply more understand the way of their living.”

anything and everything came from. Like traditions,

Popular Culture is defined as...
● The culture of our everyday lives
● Known as the culture of the “masses”
● a phenomena in which cultural ideas, practices, and
symbols are transmitted through various platforms of
media (photos, writing, speech, television, rituals, among
others)
● Crosses disciplinary boundaries (history, literature,
sociology, media studies, among others)
“ We have seen our popular
culture and it is us.”

through the process of mass production

● High culture (classical theater, music, fine art) is more
valuable and enlightening that those who partake in
popular culture, also known as “popular culture”
