Instructions
1) Have clear instructions keep them simple and short. Put on Powerpoint slide.
Or put in chat box.
2) Do demonstration of the first question together-to make sure everyone
knows what to do
3) Put instructions in chat box in breakout rooms too

Breakout rooms
1) When setting up the rooms go to options – have 15 seconds return to main
room
2) Have strict time limit for breakout rooms (depending on task)
3) When setting up rooms get students to start doing the task (when possible)
4) Ask students to have handouts ready. Show exercise on screen.
5) Students could take a photo of the screen
6) In breakout rooms one student could share her/his screen with the materials
7) Consider turning off your video when you go into the room

Feedback to language activities

1) When appropriate put answer key on screen ( it will also be sent to them
later)
2) Ask students which ones they found difficult. Go over these answers
3) When visiting rooms note down the ones they are having problems with
