CONCLUSIONS, RECOMMENDATIONS AND AGREEMENTS

Government doctors are allowed and authorized to conduct a medico-legal

examination and issue a medico-legal certificate;

There should be uniformity in reporting and there should be a uniform medical

certificate not only in the province but all over the country;

Terminologies that will be used in filling up the medico-legal certificate must be

uniformed;

There should be two doctors in each municipality;

In cases where the local doctor is not available to conduct medico-legal examination,
client may be referred to PNP Crime Lab (SOCO) with a referral letter signed by the
Local PNP. PNP Crime Lab and NBI is covering the whole Region XII;

GSC will accommodate client for treatment purposes only but not for medico-legal;

There should be two logbooks that will be maintained by workers. One for confidential
cases and the other one for non-confidential cases (especially in the hospitals);

Resolve issues on patients from Sarangani who died on the way to the hospital (who
will sign the death certificate)
