Statement of the Problem

The study focuses to determine the utilization semantic network techniques

through mind map, concept map, and Venn diagram in improving the literacy skills in

Science of the grade 10 students.

Specifically, it seeks to answer the following questions;

1. What is the assessment scores of the students as to their science performance in

terms of:

1.1. critical thinking; and

1.2 creative thinking?

2. Is semantic network techniques significantly affects the literacy skills in Science in

terms of :

2.1. critical thinking; and

2.2. creative thinking ?

3. Is there a significant difference in the Science literacy skills of Grade 10 students?
