(Building an event to sell tickets)


Basics/ building a show to start selling tickets

Go to : Manage.tix.com/Dashboard
(Login)(You have this information)

Function tabs:
Favorites (rarely used)
Management (often)
Reports (often)
CRM (rare)
Help (Somewhat)
Building A Show Pt.1

Select the Management tab


1. Then select Production Management.

2. Select “New Production Button”

3. Fill out “Create New Production” Page


- Name
- Producer *
- Thumbnail *
- Description *
- Category/ Sub Category
- Make sure “Tix Call Center” is
blue

* These will come from


producers of
production, you may
have to prompt them for it)

4. Click “Add” button

Select the Event Management tab


Under Management main tab, then under Operations

1. Click the “Action button”

2. Click “Add New Event”

3. Fill out Venue information “Rivertown
Theatres”

- If “ General Admission ” (for non


covid)

- Lagniappe Adult show: 180 (can be


190)
- Lagniappe Children Show: 200

- If “ Reserved Seating ”

- Select Map Name : Theatre 2

4. Hit Next

5. Select Production (search for the


production you created in part 1)

- Make sure it matches


everything from part one

6. Hit [Next]

7. Fill out Date information (for


opening weekend of)

- Is this a box office sales only


show? If so click that to turn it
on
- If it’s a future event you can set the time when the even will be public/ or if its going
to live now
- Set the “Off sale date/time”

8. Hit next

9. Set Ticket Prices (See Ticket Prices Page)


If it’s a regular Rivertown show prices are (Before taxes/Fees) :
(If not get base prices from producers/those throwing event)

Adult: $41
Senior (65+) : $39
Student: $37

How to calculate the taxes and fees:

Total Ticket Price = (Base price X .092) + 2

10. Fill in boxes based on what you’ve calculated

11. Select Delivery Method!

 E - ticket/Print at home (Ask if this is still being done)


 Will Call/ Box Office Pickup (Ask if this is still being done)

12. [Next]/ then [Add Event]

Activate Event
1. Under Event Management select the name
of your event

2. Press the [Action] button, then select


[Activate selected Event] section

3. Even will become active when the “Public


Sale Date” happens
To make multiple event dates
1. Under Event Management select the name of
your event

2. Press the [Action] button, then select [Copy


Selected Event] section

3. A calendar will appear, select the dates you now


need. This will make new copies of this even
with the same times on these new dates.

4. Go in and edit the times of these events if


necessary (Matiness, moved shows whatever
may be.) If the new dates don’t need to be edited
then you are done.

5. You can delete the original event if needed


but once they are deleted they cannot be
reclaimed you have to start over.
