Figure 1: Interface network

Figure 1 shows the network interface from the CMTSkidLite to the Profibus network. By connecting an
Anybus gateway module between the CEG and the profibus network, information such as Slurry density,
Slurry volume, Slurry flow rate and Treating Pressure can be extracted from a cement pump (e.g CPS763)
to the client’s network.

The IP address of the PC must be set to 192.168.2.3. To check the IP address of the PC,
• Right-click the My Network Places icon on the desktop and go to Properties
• Right-click on the Local Area Connection that is connected using the Broadcom NetXtreme 57xx
Gigabit C and go to Properties
• Scroll down to Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click on it
• Click the Properties button and check the IP address

The configuration of the Anybus IP address will be illustrated in Section 3 (Software setup).

3. Hardware Setup (Anybus)

1. IP address configuration
The entire Ethernet configuration Switches must be set up to off. IP address will be configured
later on this document. Connect an Ethernet cable between the LAN port on the Anybus and
that on the CEG.

2. Profibus Slave Address Rotary Switches

The two profibus node address switches provide an address range of 1-99. In our application,
the profibus node address switches must be set up to 12 (1 X10) + (2 X1).
