There was an error attempting to access the Merchant.ini file at location \\Data Server
Drive\SoftDent\CCFiles\merchianti.ini. Would you like to retry to load the Merchant.ini file?
Solution:
1. On server open Computer Management > System Tools > Shared Folders > Open
Files. Close all open files in the *Office data path*\SoftDent\CCFiles folder. NOTE:
This path will be the offices actual path, whatever it's actual name is. It will not actually be
called "*". It will have an actual drive letter or server name. like in this real-world
example.
2. Try to rename the Merchant.ini(right-click the file, and choose Rename on the menu that
opens and rename from .ini to .old), if it lets you rename the file, then the file has been
released.
5. If still getting the error open the merchant.ini and compare the Merchant ID with the one
in the visanet.ini file. Make sure the visanet.ini file one matches before you rename the
merchant.ini and practice.ini.
6. Reload the visanet.ini (In SoftDent: File > Practice > Credit Card Options > Load INI.)
