The OUTPUT SELECT buttons determine which signals are to appear at the output terminals, INPUT always sends the input signals to the output terminals. for monitoring, and REPRO always sends the signals derived from the reproduce head to the output terminals, SYNC, however, selects either the input signal or the record/sync head signal for synchronous reproduction, depending on the settings of the FUNCTION SELECT AND TRANSPORT CONTROLS.
