Al-Maha Magazine has appointed you as a news writer to report

on businesses which have set up in Qatar.
Vocational Scenario or
Context The Editor, Muhammad, has asked you to complete a series of
tasks for the special business magazine to be released next
month.

Research and identify the purposes four different businesses across

the three industrial sectors within Doha. These should be made as Fact
Sheets to be used in Al-Maha magazine.

Task 1 You include the following types of businesses:

1. A small business such as a sole trader

2. A professional partnership or franchise
3. A private or public limited company
4. A government owned company

These should be produced as fact sheets.

(This provides evidence P1):

For the four different businesses, you must describe a range of topics
for Fact Sheet, which also includes at least two images for each business.
These must include: -
 Describe the ownership of the business
 Describe the size and scale of the business
 Describe the link between the ownership, size and scale of the
business
 Describe how the business can raise finance based on the
ownership, size and scale of the business
 Explain the classification of the business, local or national

differences between two contrasting businesses that you have chosen.

For the four businesses, compare reasons for their growth or

decline for each industry sector.

 Research the trends in the industrial sectors (local and

national examples)

 Provide facts and figures which demonstrates the

changes to the business industry.

 Write an evaluation which looks at how one of your chosen
businesses has changed and adapted to the environment around it in
the recent years.

When choosing your business, make sure you identify one which has
experienced significant changes in recent years, so that you can evaluate
it in enough detail.
