success of the magazine.

Task 3
You have been asked to outline the role the government has on
the business environment by writing a report for new start-up
businesses. You can illustrate the role of the government by
drawing a diagram for the magazine.

 How the government encourages employment and what

opportunities that develop to help support employment
 On taxation and how it can help or hinder businesses
 The government responsibility for controlling inflation
and deflation
 Surpluses and deficits
 How governments are competitive
 How governments deal with equality

You should discuss the role of a local and national government as

well as governments being a part of trade blocs such as EU or
GCC.

rising or is it in a state of decline? Why?
 How has the country of Qatar changed over the past 10
years? Have many businesses shut down or have many
opened up? Why?
 What are the legal issues that have affected or influenced
businesses within Doha?
