Asian Context

Several authors have studied the use of devices in various contexts, little research has focused on the
reasons for individual differences in the amount of Slow internet connection of mobile data produced,
especially for smartphones and their ability to use them (Husnjak, 2016). Gerpott (2014) stated that the
size of the display and the device's resolution have an impact on the slow mobile data connection.

Global Context

The number of mobile data users has risen significantly as mobile networks have expanded; mobile data
traffic has grown 3.2 times faster than fixed data traffic and has increased 39 fold globally from 2009 to
2014. The differences between individual users are high in almost all studies relating to the amount of
MDT produced. This raises the question of which factors are most important in predicting the amount of
MDT produced by a particular consumer. The amount of induced data traffic per subscriber is affected
by factors such as telecommunications operators' data limits, tariff plans, and the size and resolution of
user interface screens (Ericson, 2015)
Possible Outcome

The study would contribute to addressing concerns about the country's rising demand for higher-
bandwidth Internet connections for mobile data. It will also raise consumer awareness of the methods
for creating sluggish mobile data internet connections.

Ph

Falaki (2014) mentioned that the capacity of the mobile network is shared by all users in the region who
are connected to the same network. There are a lot of users at certain times of the day, which causes
the link speed to slow down. The location. Since the signal varies depending on the coverage area, the
speed can change if the user switches locations. According to Montenegros (2014), an independent
study disclosed the Philippines having the slowest broadband access in the world. As reported by Ager
(2014), Asean DNA announced that the Philippines with 3.6Mbps lags. The main reason why our country
has slow mobile connection is that telcos are experiencing difficulty expanding their networks to rural or
provinces and districts far away from the main urban centers is the archipelagic nature of the
Philippines.
