Welcome tone enthusiasts to the 2009 Randall product catalog. As you browse thru the
pages you will notice a wide variety of innovative products which you can see are being
battle tested on stages all around the world. Never in our history have we had so many
great bands, artists and everyday guitarists relying on Randall for their tone. With that said,
we’re Extremely pleased to welcome legendary guitarist Nuno Bettencourt to our ever
growing Randall family. Nuno is an absolute perfectionist with his tone and our
collaboration together with amp designer Peter King produced a new amplifier that looks
and sounds like no other.

As our MTS Series continues to mature, you will see several new cosmetic changes and
options for 2009. From the all new laser engraved black panels with chicken head knobs, to
the cool boutique vibe of the Creme Palomino option, MTS has a tone and look for any style
of player. With Signature artists like Kirk Hammett, George Lynch & Dan Donegan, it’s truly
become a must have for touring artists, recording engineers and purists who need complete
flexibility from their tube amp.

2009 also marks the third year of Valve-Dynamic power which artists like Gus G, Michael
Amott, Christian Olde Wolbers, and many other guitarists world-wide use to deliver their
punishing high gain tones. In its short existence, Valve-Dynamic has set the benchmark for
tube hybrid tone and performance.

So, if you’re an existing or returning Randall player we want to personally thank you for
supporting & promoting our products! It’s you who provides the feedback driving us to
design and build better amps and cabs. If you’re new to Randall, look through the pages

XTC
Based on the preamp circuit of a Bogner® Ecstasy red
channel. A great all-around hi-gain tone with good low

Based on Kirk’s classic clean tones, the voicing of this preamp is based
on various clean amps that Kirk has used throughout his illustrious
career. A great clean tone for any style, but tailored for rock and metal
because it stays clean at higher volumes even with active pickups.
KH-2
KIRK HAMMETT SIGNATURE PREAMP
Based on Kirk’s signature rhythm tone, the KH2 instantly becomes a
classic because of its extreme wide-range of tones. This mid to hi-gain
preamp is perfect for any classic rock and metal tone and for that early
Metallica rhythm tone.

RM100M
The RM100 is both traditional & modern technology rolled
into one amplifier. First you have 3 independent modular
channels that can be loaded with your choice and
combination of the available tube preamp modules. Load
each channel with a preamp tone that fits only your needs
with the ability to expand your arsenal anytime a new tone is
needed. Don’t purchase an amplifier because you like just the
clean or hi-gain tone. Build this amp with your clean, your
rhythm, and your hi-gain tone for a complete custom set-up.
With more than a dozen tube preamps always available,
chances are you’ll have a hard time picking just three.

CHANGE AND BIAS YOUR OWN POWER TUBES!

Enjoy the ease of replacing your power tubes anytime you
like with the very user friendly power tube bias section found
on each MTS amplifier. If a tube fails, no problem, the amp
will kick that tube out of the circuit and a small LED will light
by the tube that fails. Simply replace the small protection
fuse and tube using a small voltage meter and screwdriver to
adjust each individual bias point. If you like experimenting
with different tube types, the bias section allows you to pop-
in and bias a new set of tubes in just a few minutes.

MIDI CHANNEL SWITCHING CAPABILITY!

Connect your RM100 to any MIDI capable effects processor and program
individual effects to each channel. With the MIDI in/thru jacks simply select your
channel and external effect using the included RF3 MIDI footswitch, press and
hold the channel switch button on the head for 2 seconds and hit the store button
of the effects processor to save the preset. The included footswitch will then
select both the RM100 channel and effect you want at the same time.
