PLGU NUEVA VIZCAYA COLLABORATES WITH BFAR

Mr. Leo S. Palolan, Provincial Fishery Officer of Bureau of Fisheries


and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) – Nueva Vizcaya (in blue shirt)
conducting an assessment and validation of fishponds of the
beneficiaries

The Provincial Government of Nueva Vizcaya through its Provincial Cooperative and
Enterprise Development (PROCEDE) Office and the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic
Resources (BFAR) – Nueva Vizcaya collaborates to assists our local fisherfolks.

There were three (3) beneficiaries endorsed by the Honorable Governor to BFAR under
their Livelihood Assistance Program.

On May 6, 2021, Mr. Leo S. Palolan, Provincial Fishery Officer conducted an


assessment and validation on the projects of the beneficiaries.

Aside from their assessment and validation, the Provincial Fishery Officer together with
his technical team provided consultation with the beneficiaries on how to further develop
their production area.

According to BFAR, the beneficiaries will be given fingerlings to expand their


production (Phase 1 – 2021) and will be given additional interventions/assistance under
their Techno-Demo cum Livelihood Programs (Phase 2) next year.

PLGU continually commits to support the Fisherfolks in the province.
