METHODOLOGY

This chapter shows the materials, methods, and instruments that are

needed and used for the study.

Research Design

In this study, the researchers used a descriptive method where it involves

an online survey form answered by the Grade 11 Betelgeuse students with

the online learning modality of School Year 2020-2021. It focuses on the

perceptions of the students during online learning, and their opinions on

online education vs face-to-face learning. The researchers first developed the

survey questions and then was validated by a professional. The questions

were formulated to answer the main goal of the study. 24% of the population

answered the given survey forms. The collected information has allowed the

researcher to interpret and analyzed the problem comprehensively, regarding

the perceptions and perspectives of the Grade 11 Betelgeuse online students

in the school year 2020-2021.

Locale of the Study

This study was conducted online using google form, in accordance with

the safety protocols. This was chosen for the safety of the researchers and

the respondents, so that there may be no contact between the two parties, at

the risk of infection.

Respondents of the Study

The respondents of the study focused on the perceptions and opinions of

the Grade 11 Betelgeuse students of Alabel National Science High School,

specifically 24% of the total population who were part of the online modality

during school year 2020- 2021.

Research Instrument

The type of research instrument used by the researchers is an online

survey form questionnaire which answers the main objectives of the study.

General Procedure

a) Gathering Research Data

The researchers gathered the data through requesting the

perceptions of Grade 11 Betelgeuse in the Quality of the Online

Education that correlates to the study. With these, the research will be

able to illustrate the results and findings.

b) Formulating of Research Questionnaire

The survey form will be focusing on Grade 11 Betelgeuse

students on their perceptions towards the quality of online education as

basis and analyzing the problems and objective in relation to the

evaluation.

c) Validating the Research Questionnaire

The researchers set an appointment to the chosen validator or

the research subject teacher, to certify the online questionnaires that

was distributed to the respondents. It was also used for the collection

of data to utilize the information needed in the research study.

d) Disseminating Survey Forms

The survey forms were disseminated to the Grade 11

Betelgeuse students or authenticating the test questionnaires that was

distributed to the target respondents. Also, it was used for the

collection of data to utilize the information needed in the research

study.
