Mention the purpose of your presentation

(Assalamualaikum and good morning. I am Ali from AC1103Z. Today, I would like to present an oral
commentary based on the movie I have selected entitled “Atonement”)

Content delivery

• State the title of the English movie/film/television programme?

• Describe the setting (when and where the movie takes place, year, etc.)

• State the genre (e.g. comedy, horror, action, romance etc.)

• Give an overview of the plot

• Describe the main character or characters. Explain why these characters are important in
the development of the plot.

• Describe a memorable scene. (Why the scene is memorable to you? Is it the quote, the
graphical technique? Or your feeling while watching it?)

Use transitional signals when you move from one content to another.

Don’t spend too much time taking about the plot.

Conclusion
• State your overall opinion of the movie/film/television programme. (Do you like it? Would
you recommend it to your friends? What are the moral values?)
