WHO IS AOC?
Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, most known as AOC, is a
Congresswoman third-generation Bronxite, educator, and
organizer serving the 14th district of New York in the Bronx
and Queens. Born the 13 of October of 1989, with Puerto
Rican roots, studied at Boston University College of Arts &
Sciences and graduated with degrees in Economics and
International Relations; Representative of the Democrat
party with majors in Gun control, "Medicare for all", tuition-
free public college, Reproductive, women and inmigrant
rigths. Ocasio-Cortez is among the first female members of
the Democratic Socialists of America elected to serve in
Congress, along with Rashida TlaibTaking office at age 29,
She's also the youngest woman ever to serve in the United
States Congress.

Ms Ocasio-Cortez

Representative Ted Yoho took the
House of Representatives stand to
offer a public apology to Democratic
Legislator and New York
Representative Alexandria Ocasio-
Cortez; Yoho described Ocasio-Cortez
as "unpleasant" and later insulted her
directly by calling her "Bloody whore",
Rep Ted Yoho
to which she only replied to qualify
him as "rude".

Yoho drew sharp criticism for calling

the exchange a "misunderstanding"
and refusing to apologize for having
"passion" and for loving God, his
family, and his country.

But later Due to the media pressure

that fell on the legislator, with
arguments like this: “Mr. Yoho owes
not only the Congresswoman an
apology, but an apology on the floor of
the House". said House Majority Leader
Steny Hoyer.
After a while Yoho proceeded to
publicly apologize to Ocasio-Cortez.
Apology that many people, inclouding
Ms AOC, took as fake and designed just Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

to look good, to what the

congresswoman reacted and said the
speech that made her go where she is
today, the fiery respond to Rep. Yoho
apology, where she said:

 “When you do that to any woman—what Mr. Yoho did was give permission
to other men to do that to his daughters,” she said. “In using the language in
front of the press, he gave permission to use that language against his wife,
his daughters, women in his community, and I am here to say that is not
acceptable.”

“I am someone’s daughter, too,” she said. “Thankfully, my father is not

alive to see how Mr. Yoho treated his daughter. My mother got to see
Mr. Yoho’s disrespect of me on the floor of this House, on television. I
am here because I have to show my parents that I am their daughter,
and they did not raise me to accept abuse from men.”

“You can be a powerful man and accost women,”

You can have daughters and accost women, without remorse. You can be
married and accost women. You can take photos, and project an image to
the world of being a family man, and accost women, without remorse,
and with a sense of impunity. It happens every day in this country.”

“This harm that Mr. Yoho tried to levy at me was not just directed at me.
When you do that to any woman, what Mr. Yoho did was give
permission to other men to do that to his daughters.”

What's up for 2024?

It isnt a secret that AOC shares ideas with her
partymate Bernie Sanders, in fact she personally
proposed to make Bernie the Democrat party
contestant; To what Bernie said: "i dream with the
US presidency, but it won't be in this oportunity"
refering to the 2020 election.
AOC has been asked a lot about presidency and her
answer always is that she thinks she's not old
enough to run up, but she never dismisses the
chances.
In conclution, I guess we'll need to wait four years
more to see the development of this powerfull
