g, comet
comet is a sky object with a long tail. It does not have
its own light. It reflects the Sun’s light. When the comet
is getting closer to the Sun, the comet's light becomes
brighter.
The comet's surface will evaporate as it approaches the
sun. The gas resulted from the evaporation will stream
out and form a cloud at the back of the comet, which is
called coma. The cloud appears as the comet's tail. The
tail’s direction is always pointed away from the Sun. Some
comets that have been found are Halley, Kohoutek, Ikeya-
Seki, Hyakutake, and Hale-Bopp.
1. Meteor
Meteor is a sky object, which is small and has irregular
orbit. Sometimes it hits other bigger sky objects. It is because
thegravity of the sky object pulls the meteor. For example is
the meteors that enter the Earth atmosphere. Friction with
the Earth atmosphere causes the meteor to glow like falling
star. Most of meteor burns up in atmosphere, but some falls
to Earth, Meteor that falls to Earth is called meteorite.
