This kind of literacy is about the ability to identify what information is needed. Learners
now in our time has to possess this kind of skill in order for them to avoid taking fake
news, to be able to examine facts and data, to encourage the careful evaluation of
information sources for bias and inaccuracy and to also help learners deal with
information overload.

 Media Literacy Skills

Media literacy is the ability to critically analyse the messages that inform and entertain
us every day. This one is significant and is appropriate for the needs of the 21 st century
Filipino learners because it helps them to think critically. As learners evaluate media,
they can think whether they messages being shown are needed or not, make sense or
not, why certain information is included while some are not. This literacy skill also helps
the learners examine the validity of the information so that they can forbid
disseminating fake news or information.

 Technological Literacy Skills

Since this literacy enables people to use technology to help them make their work
easier, learners, through this skill can develop the ability to use technology in effective
and right way. Just like now in our time, we are being forced to use technology in
learning because of the pandemic and with this, learners and not only them but also the
educators are able to make used of using technology that help them in their learning
and studying.

 Communication Skills
Every learner has to possess this kind of skill in order for them to convey their thoughts
and ideas clearly, smoothly and effectively. Through communication, educators and
learners have the ability to exchange ideas and opinions about the certain topic that
they are tackling. This skill is important as everyone needs to be heard, listen to, and
talk to in expressing their thoughts and ideas.

 Collaboration
As everyone grows old, each one of us will surely work with other people for the rest of
our lives. Getting the students to work together is one of the important skills in the 21 st
century because learning is even more effective when you can share your ideas and
knowledge with others. Besides, sharing your experience, communicating and learning
with others is an important part of the learning process.
