Mission analysis of Science task:

A science task sub team has been formed. In order to write documents on geological map of the Mars
yard, a short description of the geological history of the area; a wide knowledge about mars yard is
required. Study about mars such as common features of mars, formation of mountains and volcanoes
and changes over time, its environment, driver of climate change, atmosphere etc has been continued.
Meetings have been conducted on weekly basis to share information and important findings. Important
articles, websites, documents, research paper have been bookmarked. These may come handy. These
recourses will be used in the reports.

DEM and drone image of the modeled mars yard will be analyzed thoroughly and based on the collected
information and knowledge all the visible geological features will be outlined and studied individually.
Description on each of the outlined feature will be provided such as what they are called, their
formation and relative age.

A geographical map of the provided site indicating elevation, volcanoes and mountains will be made
using Illustrator and AutoCAD. All the outlined features will be shown clearly in the map and a table
contenting all the features listed from oldest to youngest and also a narrative description of the map will
be added.

Oldest feature on the yard will be indentified and its probable formation mechanism and later how this
region has changed with the course of time will be described according to the gathered information
about that feature.

Several hypotheses have been pointed out after reading many online articles and documents. Analyzing
the given yard sample, one hypothesis will be selected to test. Specific location will be clearly marked on
the geological map. Rover will take pictures of the marked spot on the map and its surroundings to test
the hypothesis and for planned science report. Studying the pictures from the marked region;
hypothesis will be tasted. Valid relevant scientific references will surely be added based on which
hypothesis will be tested.

A 3D point cloud file will be made of the yard after test drives. It will be analyzed with 3D viewer also
rover will take many pictures of different region of the mars yard during traverse task. Science team will
be monitoring video feedback from the rover and will look for interesting object for the unplanned
science report. Picture will be taken of such spot with interesting object. All the pictures will be
analyzed thoroughly and interesting objects will be listed with their description such as what they might
be their formation, reason to be there etc.

Besides science team, one documentation team has also been formed in order to prepare all the
documents, reports properly and timely.
