IMPORTANCE OF AGRICULTURAL IN OUR SOCIETY

Agricultural Extension is important in our society for the reason that it is the key

mechanism in the agricultural Development. Promoting poverty eradication in rural areas

and ensure food security for our growing population. It also supports and promote efforts

to harmonize modern technologies with traditional and indigenous knowledge for

sustainable rural development through Agricultural Advisory Service and Farm Advisory

service.

Additionally, Extension helps in adoption of innovations, helps in studying and

solving the rural problems, increases farm yields and improve the standard of living of

farmers. Extension makes good communities better and progressive. And last but not the

least is that it contributes to national development programs.
