A cell phone is incredible devices besides give many advantages in our daily life,
there are many negative effects of a cell phone. A cell phone eats up time. Research
from the University of Baylor found that college women spend an average of 10 hours
and university men spent 8 hours on their cell phones each day. All this time could be
better spent studying, socializing face-to-face or exercising. Cell phone addiction can
cause high level of anxiety and depression. Spending so much time staring at a screen
can lead to anxiety and even depression as people expect constant updates and
interaction from friends, and worry when these are not received. Cell phone addiction
also cause disrupted sleep. According to the study published in September 2015, the
bright light exposure at night has more effect on sleep schedule than the amount of
caffeine in a double espresso. The light exposure from a cell phone can actually push
back sleep time twice as long as coffee does. In conclusion besides the benefits of the
