Topic: Teaching Styles, Self – Evaluation

The facilitator discussed about Teaching Styles, Self – evaluation. In her

topic she talked about how to evaluate ourselves after a certain class discussion
or activity. She defined Self – evaluation as a procedure to a systematically,
observe, analyze and value our own professional action and its results in order
to stabilize or improve it or doing better work in the future. She also discussed
the Principles of Self – Evaluation like Personal Observation, Session
Recording, Learner’s Feedback, Learner’s Grades and Our observation.

This self – evaluation is very important to help us teachers create critical

reflective practice of our own actions. It strengthens our responsibility over our
work and increase commitment to our goal, achievement, competing,
development and career planning. Judging the quality on one’s work based on
evidence and explicit criteria for the purpose of doing better work in the future.
As the saying goes…

“THERE IS ALWAYS ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT FOR EVERY TEACHER”.
