ROUND ROBIN

 Teacher poses a question.


 Think time.
 Teams take turns to verbally give responses.

RALLY ROBIN
 Teacher poses a question.
 Think time.
 Partners take turns verbally listing responses.

ROUND TABLE
 Students take turns writing with their teammates using a paper and a pen.
 Teacher announces topic.
 Gives think time.
 Teammates begins with a clockwise rotation.
 Each write his or her short answer to the topic then passes the paper and pen on to the
next teammate.
 Writing continues till the teacher says to stop.

RALLY TABLE
 Teacher will ask questions with multiple possible answers.
 Partners will take turns writing the answers on the paper.

QUIZ –QUIZ TRADE


 Teacher signals to stand up-hands up-pair up.
 Partner one quizzes partner 2.
 Partner 2 answers.
 Partner 1 offer praises and coaches.
 Partners switch roles.
 Partners trade cards and repeat with a new partner.(By using hands up- pair up)

NUMBERED HEADS TOGETHER
 Divide students into groups of four
 Students each given a number 1-4
 Teacher poses a question or a problem
 Each individual in the group has to contribute an idea, answer or a solution.
 The group then have to agree on which idea will be their group answer.
 Teacher calls out numbers randomly 1-4.
 Student with that number answers for the group.

MIX - PAIR SHARE


 Students mix around the room.
 Teacher calls, “pair!”
 Students pair with the person closest to them and gives a “high five.”
 Teacher gives a question and think time.
 Teacher will give instruction on how the students will share.

INSIDE OUTSIDE CIRCLE


 Partner A form each pair move to form one large circle in the class facing in.
 Partners B find and face their partner.
 The inside circle asks the question from their question card, outside circle answer and
inside circle praise or coach. (Sometimes teacher asks question)
 Partners switch roles.
 Trade cards.
 Inside circle rotates.
