SCOPE OF THE UNIT

PVC pipes widely used for domestic, industrial and chemical carrier purpose. It is an essential
component in residential buildings, flats, shopping complexes, industries etc .And its demand is
increasing day by day .even though there are other brands of pipes in market, owing to high demand
no competition in marketing is expected if we can provide quality products.

The marketing will be done throughout Kerala by appointing hardware dealers,

direct sale from the unit will also be done by taking orders from contractors or civil constructions,
to Kerala water authority and other semi govt organization through tenders etc.

Moreover the chief promoter of the company is running a business of PVC fabricated
specialties such as PVC bonds; cuppler etc, for that PVC pipe is the main raw material. Those raw
materials are supplied by sun marketing, a propriety concern since last 2 years. For the said unit
itself the requirement of PVC pipes are around rs.1 core as raw material, this will be an added
source of marketing of the new unit.

PVC hoses are always in great demand as compared to metal pipes because of its inherent
properties like higher strength, greater flexibility, and minimum number of joints, frictional losses,
and resistances to corrosive chemicals etc.

The wide acceptance of PVC pipes and fittings has encouraged the production of these items in
large quantity due to its inherent qualities.

Adequate availability of polymers has established plastics as a material of choice in all the fields.
The consumption of raw material poly vinyl chloride (resin) has shown a rapid increase year by
year. The consumption of resin in the country has increased from 3.85 lakhs in the year 1992-1993
to 5.68 lakhs in the year 1996-1997 thereby showing an increase of 47.5%

The liberal policy of the government to give subsidy for the farmers adapting the drip irrigation
system has created greater demand for PVC pipes throughout the country.pvc pipes are widely used
in all fields like domestic ,irrigation ,industrial ,and non industrial spheres. In agricultural field PVC
pipes are used for minor irrigation, bore wells and water supplies. Currently about 16% of PVC
consumption goes into the agricultural applications and this figure is expected to double in the next
4 years.pvc pipes are raw materials for a number of units manufacturing PVC fabricated pipe fitting
such as PVC bends, couplers, adopters etc.
