I. Introduction:

Established in 1911, The University of Hong Kong is the oldest university in Hong Kong with many
opportunities in the future. It has excellent students, a great faculty, and an outstanding academic
staff. The University of Hong Kong’s mission focuses on developing students’ research and
communication skills with teachers who are leading researchers in many areas such as Human
Health and Development, Biotechnology and Drug Development, Nan science and Nanotechnology,
Build and Natural Environments, Theoretical and Computational Sciences, Public Law and Public
Policy, China Studies, and Communications. It is growing and expanding. Hong Kong University has
much to be proud of a strong environment and what they did to submit to the public.

Vision:

The University of Hong Kong has the most brilliant students in Hong Kong. In 2008-2009, the
University attracted more than 22,000 students (12,000 undergraduates, 10,000 postgraduates),
about 5,500 local and international students. From 2003-2004, the highest achievers at the Hong
Kong Certificate of Education Examination joined Hong Kong University under the Early Admissions
Scheme for Secondary Six Students. Through the degree programs, students will be able to
understand how to recognize of issues and how to solve problems, work in teams and practice and
integrating information.

student and staff. The items available and the unique “shopping” experience will provide them
with an opportunity to reflect on importance issues such as fair trade, environmental protection,
social inclusion, mental health and healthy and fulfilling lifestyle. Hong Kong university also
equipped Health Service such as Medical Unit and Dental Unit. There are seven Information Kiosks
on the main campus to see daily event of the university and use webmail service for staff and
student. Libraries with many kind of books, magazines, newspaper from different source, student
can have choose any books to find information that help for their own
studying. Furthermore we have Postal Service like mail box, and museums with Geological Museum,
University Museum and Art Gallery, student or all visitor such as their parent can visit our museum
any time as they want to, those kind of museums is helpful for student to get knowledge and more
information about their major, in other hand, Parking area also available for 24 hour and divide up
to each class and member. Our accommodation also included Photocopying run by the Students’
Union, available at two outlets on the main campus. Moreover, the amazing place that we ran up is
the restaurant which this now is student’s favorite place. With café and kiosks dispersed
throughout the main campus, there are three fast food restaurants offering a wide range of
international cuisines, local food and Chinese Dim Sum three well-known cafes where student can
enjoy range of healthy food with a sip of freshly brewed coffee; a Western fine-dining restaurant;
and a Hotdog kiosk popular among. Our Sport Department with swimming pool, tennis, goal,
football, volleyball, and many fantastic kind of sport for all member and student to enjoy. We also
have Supermarket open in business time, provide fresh food, vegetable and other foods.
The best is our venues and booking section, very huge ball rooms, bright lighting and 127 to 350
seats, usually for meeting and graduation day. Or we also provide vending machine selling can,

For each month, Hong Kong university was created many activities for member and student such as
camping, travel to another city or country, have a trips inside Hong Kong. Student will
have very good time during all the trip with their teacher and their friends to many beautiful place
to get experience and knowledge, have fun and closer with friends and
teacher. Usually our school have event during term break, holiday and sometimes
we create an exhibition about art, science, language, student will have to do and know how to
make a exhibition, that is real experience for them. Specially,
they very enjoy this. Furthermore, our school always pound of our student in field of sport, since
we operated sport event for them, they were very good at play sport and they do it perfectly. Some
of our student already win a lot of medals from many award in first prize for football, volleyball,
swimming and tennis as well.

Our university, (as it is known to students, staff and alumni) is the oldest tertiary

education institution in Hong Kong, On March 16, 1910, Sir Frederick Lugard, the then Governor of
Hong Kong, laid the foundation stone for the University, signifying the birth of Hong Kong’s first
tertiary institution. What all we pound of is our more than 50 years experience. That why we
created relationship with many company and good relationship with local banks
to get more convenience about having internship jobs or jobs for banking and finance student ,or
we had link with hotels, restaurants, Hong Kong Disneyland for hospitality and tourism student, we
can make sure that when student finish their study, they extremely can get a jobs as soon as
possible. We confident to say that our student have enough tuition or knowledge to able to work in
a professional work palace.

8. School member and staff.

Parent must always fell very secure to let their

children study in very good environment as our university. Most of teacher is professional and
extremely dedicated to their job. And they always willing to make extra effort to listen to
student’s comment so as to continuously improve their teaching and to stimulate students. We have
many Dr, Professor that have been selected to receive the UDTA. As Associate Dean (Teaching and
Learning),Very kind and patient advisor for student is their character. They take care of students in
different of life, with an emphasis on their growing up towards a successful future.. this is also
a comment of student in our campus, with good experience and character and
extremely good teaching skill, certificate from master up to Dr. Students very pound of them. Staff
members from any area they all friendly, always open to help students and visitor. They are able to
handle many problem and have enough skill to do faster. They are hard working
and good character. The university of Hong Kong, as a leading international institution of
higher learning in Asia, strives to attract and nurture outstanding scholars from around the world

contributing to the advancement of society ans the development of leaders through a

In marketing, place refers to the distribution channel, as distribution channels is playing

an important role in marketing plan, our group has been proposed some of the distribution channels
like advertise through internet and association websites, brochures and giving flyers. Besides, we
will also have some distribution programs such as:

1) Associations: We will corporate with Thailand Tourism Board and Ministry of education in order
to promote our school, as we will advertise on their official website and provide information. In
addition, we also will advertise on website banner and street banner.

2) Vertical Publication: As we take educational magazines as our vertical publication, so we

will advertise details and venue information through the magazine.

3) E-marketing: The electronic distribution channels play an important role in marketing. Internet is

an important distribution channel as well. The advantage of internet is that people can access
twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, has worldwide coverage and saves labor.

Social Networking As social networking is the process of marketing the products or services through
the internet or electronic channels. Therefore, social networking becomes the main useful strategy
in industries, contribution in popular social media and networking websites such as face book,
twitter and YouTube.

4) Direct Marketing: Direct marketing is forms of advertising that communicate straight to the

consumer with advertising techniques such as fliers, catalogue distribution, promotional letters,
and street advertising. Furthermore, we also can send invitation letter and postcard via e-
mail to school and student to promote the program.

5) Personal Selling: Personal selling is oral communication with potential buyers of a product with

the intention of making a sale. On the other hand, personal selling is a face-to-face activity. WE
can go through education agent to promote the school. We can organize an education event.

6) Telecommuting: Telecommuting is a method of direct marketing in which an employee’s solicits

prospective delegates to buy products or services over the phone calls. Therefore, we will form a
group of employees to make phone calls and invite to the school in Thai land.

For non-local Students

Visa Application and Extension

All non-local students need to obtain a student visa to study in Hong Kong. The Hong Kong
Immigration Department normally issues student visas only to applicants who are enrolled in a full-
time course in the University. Non-local students studying at HKU for more than one year will have
to renew their student visa annually. Currently, for undergraduates from the Mainland, the contact
office at the University is the China Affairs Office

Living in Hong Kong

Banking Arrangements

You are advised to open a bank account in Hong Kong. You will need to transfer money for

immediate use when you arrive here. This can be done:

• By instructing an overseas bank to send money in your name to a bank in Hong Kong;

• By depositing traveler cheques or a bank draft in a local account (personal cheques can also be
deposited but may take as long as three weeks to be cleared).

Hong Kong Identity Card

Any visitor to Hong Kong (including a student coming from outside Hong Kong) who intends to
stay for a period of more than 180 days is required by law to apply for a Hong Kong Identity Card at
the Registration of Persons Office of the Immigration Department.
