1. Assume that Bangladesh Specialized Hospital has taken a decision to open COVID-19 section
for treating COVID-19 patients. They need a number of doctors, nurses and other support staff
for this purpose. Nurses play the most vital part in treating COVID-19 patients as these kinds of
patients need constant monitoring and service. As you need to hire a number of qualified nurses,
suppose you are given the responsibility to prepare the job description and job specifications for
the position. Most importantly, you need to find out their job responsibilities and the
qualifications necessary carefully to perform the required tasks. Prepare the job description and
job specification for the position of a “Nurse” for COVID section in Bangladesh Specialized
Hospital.

Job Context: We are looking for some dedicated staff nurse for our COVID section in
Bangladesh Specialized Hospital.

Must have experience in the pursuit nursing area
Answer: While recruiting fresh graduates, many organizations provide opportunities to only
graduates of selected universities and sometimes they impose restriction on CGPA too. I think
this is not a proper practice in the context of Bangladesh. Because, they need to focus on
candidates experience and capability of what they can do. Sometime some students from well-
known university and graduated with good CGPA are bad and irresponsible for their job. They
are not capable to do that job. That’s why to recruiting employee first company need to decide
what position they need to fill and after that they need to choose whose are going to do good in
that position. They need to see how much knowledge candidate have about their product. They
need to see candidate’s education not their institution. If candidate have good CGPA it’s good
but it’s not mandatory but having good skill for work, hard-working, critical thinking, effective
communication are mandatory. If candidate have this then they can do good in their job.
If I’m a policymaker of a particular firm and I need to make policy for recruiting fresh
graduates, I’m not going to give opportunities for selected university. I’m going to recruit fresh
graduates to see their qualification and their experience and their knowledge. Because who have
good qualification and lots of knowledge he is asset for my firm. And he will give something
good for firm. That’s why I will recruit fresh graduates by seeing their qualification and
knowledge.
