remote control or the LG AC LED panel wall unit, this tells the user there’s a problem with the LG AC unit. The error
code that is displayed will tell you the issue or problem that occurring with the AC.

LG Split System Air Conditioner Error Codes – Troubleshooting – Maintenance
When there is a fault or error in your LG AC unit a 2, 3 or 4 digit code will show on the remote control led display. If
your LG AC unit does not have a remote control that came with the unit, then the 2, 3 or 4 digit error code will display
on the LED panel on the front of the indoor unit.
LG AC Location of LEDs
NOTE: If more than two errors occur at the same exact time, the lower numbered error code will be shown on the
display first.
The first 3 LG AC errors are the most commonly reported – This is why they are listed first and out of order = These
are Lights Flashing – CH05 – CH10

-Switch off the circuit breaker in your AC unit and then switch it on again.
-If there is no loose connection your air conditioner will start its operations normally.
-Check wiring connections for any loose connection on the unit.
-A low refrigerant charge can cause the air conditioner light to blink.

I have an LG dual inverter air conditioner unit, bought and installed in september 2020, the problem is when
switched on heat CH73 comes on and I have to switch power off for 20 minutes, then switch on OK, the outside unit
is above front door and water comes out all the time and drops on people at the door. I have this problem every 2-3
days, this is a new unit and should be covered by guarantee. I live in spain but I am English and do not speak
spanish.

Hi. I have a LSN120HEV1, 2 years old. Had a power bump and now the units don’t kick on. I replaced both boards
(inside and out) and now the indoor unit has the preheating light lit and the outdoor unit has a solid red LED on the
board. I look all over the place for a fix or direction to go but nothing. Can you help?

The a.c works for 10mins then shows CH21 and stop working. I have to switch it off and on from the socket for it to

there is leakage during installation of inverter split unit,after fixing the leakage and refilling the unit the CH 38
displayed on the screen even after adding more refrigerant,after a while the system shut down,anytime i try to power

I have a dual heater/ac. There is no error code but on the heat setting the vent almost closes and blows cold air. I
have tried all the settings for different positions for the vent but it always goes back to almost closed and blows
cold air. I have tried turning off at breaker unit to reset but it still did the same? Any advice grateful.

If the refrigerant level goes lower than 40 percent in a case of any leakage, the AC is immediately shut down with
an alert of CH 38 on the screen

Same problem here, can’t find anything to explain what “ch37” is. Outside temp was a little below zero but
windchill here was about 20 below. I’m assuming this was the cause and hoping it’s temporary?!? Outside temp
now is in the 30’s and still getting the same error code. Hoping it just needs more time to warm up. Frustrating
since this unit is rated to minus 14F!

I have an LG P18RK EU1 (ASUW186C8A0) unit which just stops. There are three white LED lights but I cannot find
any information on the fault codes displayed.
When the unit stops upper LED (Power) flashes once followed by middle LED (E/control) flashes twice followed by
upper LED (Power) flashing once more. Lower LED (Preheat) does not flash.
Can anybody advise as LG are proving useless?

I have a C6 error. We are experiencing an ice storm. I can’t get to the outdoor unit because there is ice on the
rooftop. The indoor unit has shut down. Is it possible that the ice has incapacitated the unit? Will I simply need to

Just installed 3 6000 and 1 18000 units, new condenser,

units cool fine . . . but when in auto mode units do not cool or heat, been told all units must be in same mode for
them to work . . . this is NOT TRUE. they don’t work correctly except in cool mode.
Only one tech on LG ductless havoc mili splits in 200 miles . . . am stuck with them to keep my guarantee alive. LG
has proven to me to have one of the weakest electircal designs in the business. . . why would one on a mini split
with 4 heads have to operate all of them in same mode? defeats the reason to have individual room haves. ABOUT
DECIDED that LG is total junk . . . i am out 5000, will have to spend another 7000 for a mitsubishi product that have
several local techs and works.

I have a 2 unit LG ductless mini split (LSN090HSV4-Living room, LMN078HVT-bedroom). The entire condenser turns
off after running for a little while and both units will flash 3x (LED1/Heating) and 5x (LED2/Cooling). I don’t find the
code or codes for this error message. Since the main condenser goes off and both flash the same error code, I’m
assuming it’s something with the entire system. Could anyone please advise and help?! I’d really appreciate any
insight. THANKS!

LG Split Air Conditioner shows error code CH 38.

Talked with LG Mexico and the error is for lack of Gas, it leaked out.
Called in the Gas guy, refilled and found leak, and now the AC works again. Nice.

I have a LG mini split. When you set it for cooling both indoor and outdoor work just fine for about 5 mins. Then
indoor flashes communication fault (5) flashes. When you try and shit if off my the remote, the indoor unit display
turns off and the supply damper shuts closed but indoor fan keeps running as well as the outdoor unit (compressor
and all). Until you kill high voltage.

I have the lsn120hsv4. Whenever it is off, I can hear a low pitch constant squeal from it. It’s very faint but can be
heard easily if the house is silent. I know its coming from the unit as it stops when the breaker is turned off. I cannot
hear it when its running, just in an off state. Is this normal? It can be annoying once you hear it, hard to stop.

My LG mini-split AC system blinks code 21.

Pressing the buttons on the remote doesn’t do anything.
After turning off the breaker for a minute and turning back on, it runs for 10-15 minutes, but not nearly as cold as it
used to be, then shuts off and blinks 21 again.
Any ideas?
The model is LG lsn307hv3.

Sounds like the compressor is faulty.
Check this LG AC PDF file here and it explains the error code 21.
OR
Possibly the filter is dirty and needs cleaned and the ac needs vacuumed out.
Is the inside of the AC dirty? Pet hair? Dust? Dirt?
A dirty filter and dusty inner part of the AC can cause multiple error codes.
Unplug it, Clean it out, wait 30 minutes, and apply power and test it.

Try this…
– Remove power to your LG Split System AC Model BS-Q096J3A2 wall unit.
– Remove front panel and clean the filter and the surrounding areas.
– Reinstall the AC air filter.
– Leave AC unplugged for an hour or more.
– Reapply power to the LG wall unit and run a test…. This should clear the error code CH 38.
NOTE: Be sure you work safely as certain parts in the AC, even though unplugged, can still be energized.
Let us know what you find after doing the above.

CH38 is not on the list.

The error code CH38 is not in the database as an error code for LG Split System Air Conditioners.
Can you tell us the model number of your LG AC?
