Case study
Statement Problem:
It investigates a contemporary phenomenon within
its real-life context, especially when the boundaries
between phenomenon and context are not clearly
evident. A case study is a detailed study of a specific
subject, such as a person, group, place, event,
organization, or phenomenon.

Objective:
 To pre-assess the students’ knowledge and
understanding
 To set the context for students to engage in research
papers
 To help students learn through modelling and
simulation process
 To provide opportunities for students to explore
historical events
 To improve effectiveness of the teaching-learning
processes.
 To equip students with knowledge and skills before
practicum sessions

Population:
The different parties involved in a course of study
are:

Students, Teachers, Institution (School or


University), Ministry of Education

Conclusion:
Case study is a valuable method of
research, with distinctive characteristics that
make it deal for many types of
investigations. It can also be used in
combination with other methods. Its use and
reliability should make it a more widely used
methodology.
Case studies are complex because they
generally involve multiple sources of data,
may include multiple cases within a study,
and produce large amounts of data for
analysis.
Case study results relate directly to the
common readers everyday experience and
facilitate an understanding of complex real-
life situations.

prepare to discuss a case
Prepare yourself for leading a case study
discussion.
