Installing VSM Expansion Pack – PC

From your account on our website, download the following:

• VSM Expansion installer *See below

• VSM Expansion2 installer

Run the installers following the on-screen commands to complete

the process.

*When running the VSM Expansion installers, select to ‘Extract’

before running the installers. If you are updating VSM Expansion,
you do not need to re-install the VSM Expansion, just VSM
Expansion2.

When you next launch VSM you will have access to the new sounds
via the Layer and Patch windows.
* Patches - the place to audition
VSM’s sounds. The NEW sounds
from Version 3.0 can be found
via the Patch or Layer windows.

Within VSM, click on the Patch

Selection window to reveal the
Patch folders (see left).

The coloured sections in this

image denote which Patches are
held in each of the *.cpt2 files
found in your String Machine
Library folder.

Library.cpt2 - The factory

Patch library since version 1.0 of
VSM


Library2.cpt2 - The NEW
extended factory Patch library
since version 3.0 of VSM.

VSM_Expansion.cpt2 - The
Expansion factory Patch library
since it's release in 2008.








VSM_Expansion2.cpt2 - The
Expansion factory Patch library
since it's release in 2019.





Layer soundsets - Within VSM,
click on either Layer A or B
window to reveal the instrument
folders (see left). Soundsets are
then selected from these folders.
