VISIT PLAN
Trip 01 - Simalungun District
In Simalungun District, we will visit 3 sub-district, namely :
- Parapat sub-district;
In Parapat, we will inspection on flood damage, floating cages
(PT. Aquafarm Nusantara), and Critical land.
- Haranggaol Horison sub-district ;
In Haranggaol Horison, we will inspection on floating net cages,
and floating net cages of PT. Suri Tani Pemuka.
- Purba sub-district.
In Purba, we will inspection on pig farming (PT. Alegrindo
Nusantara).

Flood Damage in Parapat
Floods that occurred on June 13, 2021 in
Parapat District caused landslides in several
villages. It is known that the biggest flood
impact was in 3 locations, the first location
was in Sibaganding Village and 2 other
locations were located in Parapat City. The
flooding was caused by 2 weeks of heavy Flood Damage
rain in the area, causing the hillsides to Location

overflow with steep topography. In addition,


the condition of critical forest land creates a Location 01 Location 02
high surface water flow rate and causes
landslides.

Parapat sub-district is included in the critical


Location 03
land category with a fairly steep slope,
namely at location 1 the slope is 0.38 while
for locations 2 and 3 the slope is 0.11

Floating Net Cages in Haranggaol
Floating Net Cages
One of several traditional cage businesses in Lake
Toba that is growing very rapidly, is in Haranggaol
Village, Haranggaol Horison District, Simalungun
Regency, North Sumatra. Currently, Haranggaol is
the largest freshwater fish supplier in North Sumatra.
The number of owners is 335 families, with the
number of cages owned ± 7,075 units, with a yield of
± 1050 tons per month. Some of results showed that
the average household income of floating net
cage farmers was IDR. 5,014,753,-/month. With the
average income of floating net cage farmers , it

means that farmers are able to meet household
needs.

In 2019, thousands of goldfish were found dead in


floating net cages owned by farmers in Bandar
Saribu Village, Haranggaol Horison District.
According to the floating net cage farmers, one of
the causes of death in these floating net cages is the
lack of oxygen in the water.

Pig Farming of PT Allegrindo
Nusantara
Pig Farming
PT. Allegrindo Nusantara is the largest wild pig farm
in Lake Toba. PT Allegrindo has a livestock
production capacity of 50,000 heads per year. It is
known that part of the land owned by PT. Allegrindo
is part of protected forest register 44 with an area of
46.38 hectares located in Urung Pane Village, Purba
Sub-District, Simalungun District.

Floating Net Cages of PT Suri
Tani Pemuka
Floating Net Cages
PT. Suri Tani Pemuka, a company engaged in the
Aquaculture Industry which was founded in 1987 as a
subsidiary of the JAPFA Group which is integrated into
the business of producing shrimp and fish feed,
hatching and rearing shrimp/fish and their processed
products. Tilapia's operation by PT Suri Tani Pemuka is
the largest fully integrated system operation in
Indonesia of this type.
PT Suri Tani Pemuka specializes in producing premium
quality Tilapia using high quality broodstock and
specially produced feed by PT Suri Tani Pemuka's own
feed mill. Tilapia PT Suri Tani Pemuka is cultivated
naturally in floating net cages on Lake Toba, Indonesia.

In Toba District, we will visit 1 sub-district, namely:
- Porsea sub-district;
1. Inspection on Location of abrasion, tourism, and
flood prone.
2. Inspection on Sigura-gura Dam, Tangga Dam, and
Hydropower Plant

Parparean II Beach
Porsea has some great vacation spots to visit. as part Location of abrasion,
of the Toba Caldera, the beauty of the White Sand tourism, and flood prone
Beach in Parparean Village, Porsea District, Toba
Regency is very amazing. Besides being beautiful,
the beach is also clean so that it makes visitors
comfortable.

Siruar Regulating Dam
Siruar Regulating
Regulating Dam, located in Siruar, approximately Dam
14.5 km from Lake Toba. This dam functions to
regulate the water level of Lake Toba and the
stability of the water coming out of Lake Toba into
the Asahan river to supply water to the power station
constantly.

This type of dam is mass concrete with a height of 39


meters.

Siguragura Intake Dam
The Siguragura Intake Dam is located in Simorea and
serves as a stable water source for the Siguragura
power station. The water stored in this dam is used at
the Siguragura Power Station, which is 200 m deep in
the earth with 4 generator units and the total fixed
capacity of the four generators is 203 MW and is the
first underground hydropower plant in Indonesia.

This type of dam is mass concrete with a height of 47


meters.

Tangga Intake Dam
Stairway Water Reservoir Dam (Tangga Intake Dam)
Tangga Dam
which is located on the Stairs and serves to stem
water that has been used by the Siguragura
hydropower plant to be reused in the Tangga
hydropower plant. This dam is the first arc dam in
Indonesia. Ladder Generation Station has 4
Generator units. The total fixed capacity of the four
generators is 223 MW.

This type of dam is an arc-shaped concrete mass


with a height of 82 meters.

In North Tapanuli District, we will visit 2 Location,
namely:
- Muara sub-district;
1. Inspection on Location of flood prone.
2. Inspection on Location of tourism in Sibandang
Island.

Binanga Siparbue

Binanga Siparbue is one of the rivers that are


potentially prone to flooding in Muara sub-district,
North Tapanuli Regency. One of the elements of
weather/climate is rainfall.
North Tapanuli Regency which is located at an
average altitude of more than 900 meters above sea
level is very likely receive high rainfall.

Sibandang Island Location of Tourism
(Sibandang Island)

The tourism potential of Lake Toba not only has 1


island but there are other islands in the Lake Toba
area, one of which is Sibandang Island in North
Tapanuli Regency. Sibandang Island is often referred
to as Mango Island because it is one of the centers
for producing mangoes in North Sumatra, whose
commodities are widely distributed to various
regions.
Sibandang Island has an area of about 850 hectares,
consisting of several areas such as Papande Village
and Sampuran Village. The unique fact of Sibandang
lies in the contours of the island which are almost
entirely surrounded by rocks. On Sibandang Island,
visitors can also see firsthand the making of
traditional ulos which is often called Ulos
Harungguan.

In Samosir District, we will visit 2 Location, namely:
1. Inspection on Sedimentation of Binanga Arun
River and retention basin.
2. Inspection on floating net cages in Siogung-ogung
and Tano Ponggol.
