the tourists especially, the millennials, due to its royal splendor, vibrant culture, majestic
forts, bazaars with textiles and handicrafts, jewellery, handmade footwear, unique folk
dances, food, music, night life, arts and literature.

It is also a very popular and preferred destination with the students, particularly those,
coming from neighboring towns, cities and states as it has a safe, creative, innovative and
inspiring environment and, has a reasonable cost of living.

IIS (deemed to be UNIVERSITY)

IIS (deemed to be UNIVERSITY) or IISU is a pioneer institution for Women’s Education in


Jaipur, Rajasthan.

Its foundations were laid in 1995 with the establishment of the International College for Girls
(ICG) as an affiliated college of the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur.

The ICG got due recognition by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC)
and was accredited “A+” Grade in 2005. It was identified as a College with Potential for
Excellence (CPE) by the University Grant Commission (UGC), and a Model College by the
Government of Rajasthan. In a national survey by the Global Marketing Research Firm
ACNielsen (now Nielsen Corporation) ORG-MARG in April-May, 2010, commissioned by India

Today Magazine, ICG was rated as the top college in the state in Arts, Science and Commerce
streams.

It gained the “Autonomous Status” from the University Grants Commission (UGC) in 2007-08.
It was conferred the status of “deemed to be UNIVERSITY” by the Ministry of Human
Resource Development (now Ministry of Education), Government of India, under section 3 of
UGC Act, 1956 in 2009.

Today, the IIS (deemed to be UNIVERSITY) stands tall in the top Universities of India with
over 4500 students on roll, more than 240 faculty members and about 180 support-staff
(technical & non-teaching).

It offers both general and professional education through Under Graduate, Post Graduate
Doctoral and Post-Doctoral programmes in Arts, Science, Commerce, Home Science,
Management and Computer Science & Information Technology.

The admissions to all Post-graduate programmes will be based on merit of the qualifying
examination. However, the students studying in UG final year may apply for admission, they will
be considered for provisional admission subject to their final result.

The admission to Ph.D. programmes will be on the basis of Research Entrance Test to be
conducted separately by the IIS (deemed to be University), during August 2021. The final year
Post-graduate students may also apply.

IISU is one of the largest institutions in the city situated in the green and peaceful
Mansarovar Area of Jaipur, known to be a central location with proximity to facilities like

Infrastructure & Facilities

The University boasts of the state-of-the-art infrastructure. The Seminar Halls, auditoriums,
Laboratories and ICT-enabled Classrooms are well equipped to facilitate teaching-learning,
academic and research activities. A fully equipped state-of-the-art Video Production Studio at
the University facilitates the production of news bulletin, interviews and discussion for hands-
on experience of the students. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled with internet bandwidth of 360
MBPS.

Playgrounds, Courts, Indoor Sports Room, Health Club (Gym and Yoga-Centre), Swimming Pool
in the campus promote the physical development, mental growth and spiritual well-being of
the students. Auditoriums, Multipurpose halls, Amphitheatre and an open stage in the
University helps budding talents to showcase and develop their skills in the performing arts,
throughout the academic session. There is a one-stop solution- Stationery Shop- on the campus
for all requirements of students related to stationery, along with other facilities like low-cost
photocopying, laser printing and spiral binding. Cafeterias at the University offer a wide range
of delicious and hygienic food at the Campus.

A fleet of buses ply to every nook and corner of the city to provide an easy and safe commute
to the students. The University also has an Infirmary with a full time Nurse, Homeopathic
physician, three-bed set-up and an ambulance for emergency situations.

The Central Library of the University is automated and digitized and has more than 81000 books
including text books and reference books. It also has an open access e-resources comprising
more than 20,000 e-journals and e-books.

Residential facilities for candidates
· The University has three centrally air-conditioned hostels which ensure quality
vegetarian food and a disciplined yet homely environment in the hostel.
· The admission to IISU hostels is subject to the applicant’s standing in the merit list
and availability of seats.
· Confirmation of the applicant’s admission in the University is essential for grant of
admission in the hostel.
· Once the admission in the hostel is confirmed, the applicant is required to fill a Hostel

IISU-Common Entrance Test 2021-22

We, at IISU, are constantly adapting ourselves to the evolving national and global curricular
climate. Keeping in view the prevailing uncertainty regarding the COVID situation and dilemma
surrounding the conduction of different public examinations in the country, the IIS (deemed to
be UNIVERSITY) is setting a new practice and standard by deciding to hold a National level
Common Entrance Test [IISU-CET] starting June 2021, for admissions to all its Under Graduate
Programmes.

The objective is to assess whether the students seeking admission to the University have the
aptitude and skills that are considered requisite for Higher Education study.

This initiative is also an attempt to embrace diversity, promote inclusive practices and, at the
same time harness the power of technology for the benefit of thousands of students living in
different parts of India and give them a fair chance to study in this University.

 Psychometric testing and Vocational Counselling: The Counselling and Career
Development Center of IIS (deemed to be University), besides other services,
also provides vocational counselling based on Psychometric Testing to all the
prospective students so that they can take an informed decision about their career
options and choices. If a student is facing dilemma regarding choosing their stream,
subject combinations and requires guidance for understanding scope of different career
fields they can avail this facility. The vocational guidance & counselling provided to the
students is based on assessment of their Interest, Aptitude and Personality. A career
report is generated for each student who avails this facility. This is followed by a
detailed vocational counselling session with the certified career counsellor.

 Psychometric testing can be done by choosing the option on the entrance test
registration form via https://icfia.org/iisu/entrance along with an additional payment of
Rs.500/-.

Step 3: IISU- Common Entrance Test


 Register for IISU-CET online at https://icfia.org/iisu/entrance, make the payment of
Rs.250/- and submit the form.
 Detailed instructions regarding registration for online IISU-CET are available under
“Procedure for Registration to appear in IISU-CET”.
 Appear in the entrance test on June 20, 2021(Sunday).

Step 4: Submission of Admission form


 Once IISU-CET is qualified, a link along with instructions will be sent to all eligible
candidates at their registered email id for admission to UG courses.
 Click on the link to get access to the admission form.
 Fill all the necessary information in the admission form.
 Upload all the required documents as mentioned there.
 Recheck and verify the details filled and submit the form alongwith a payment of Rs.
1500/-
 Scrutiny of the submitted forms will be done and if no deficiencies are found, the
candidate will be asked to deposit the fees via email.

Step 5: Fee deposition
 Deposit the required fee for admission to UG courses via online/offline mode within the
stipulated period .

Please note:

 Candidates whose class XII results are not yet declared by the board will be given
provisional admission to undergraduate programmes on clearing the IISU Common
Entrance Test and submission of mark sheets of class X and XI examinations. However,
their admission will be confirmed subject to fulfillment of “Eligibility Requirements”.
 The provisional admission will be confirmed once the candidate submits proof of
qualifying the class XII exam and fulfilling the eligibility requirements. If the same are
not fulfilled provisional admission will be treated as cancelled. In such cases refund of
fee will be done as per University Rules.
 Documents required for admission to the University include:
1. Marksheet of the Secondary examination (one self-attested copy and original for
verification)
2. Marksheet of the qualifying examination (Class XII) (in original) plus 2 self-attested
copies
3. Transfer Certificate from the institution last attended (in original)
4. Character Certificate from the institution last attended (in original)
5. Migration Certificate (in original) plus 2 self-attested photocopies
6. Sports/NSS/NCC/Scouting Certificate, if any (in original plus 2 self-attested copies)
7. Student Aadhar Card (self-attested copy)
 If at any stage, it is found that a candidate does not satisfy the eligibility criteria or the
information furnished by her is incorrect, her application for the admission to the
Programme, even if selected and fees paid, will automatically stand cancelled.

 In case a candidate does not deposit fee within stipulated time period, the admission
offer shall automatically stand cancelled and the seat will be allotted to a candidate
from the waiting list.

 Those students who qualify the test but not given admission offer in the first list will be
kept on waiting list. Admission of such candidates will be considered on seats falling
vacant due to non-deposition of fees by candidates offered admission through the 1st
list.

 Candidates desiring to apply in more than one programmes have to apply separately by
filling different admission forms after clearing the IISU- Common Entrance Test.
However, they will take the test only once and on that basis their name will be
considered in the merit of all such programmes for which they apply. In case their name
appears in list of more than one programme, they are advised to decide and deposit the
fee for the programme they wish to continue with. Thereafter, their name will be
removed from the other programmes merit list.

Eligibility Criteria:
 For admission to B.A., B.Com., B.Sc. Pass Course and B.Sc. (Hons.) Home Sc., the
minimum qualification for a student is a Senior School Examination Certificate (Class 12)
from any recognized or accredited Board of Education in India or abroad.
 For admission to B.A. B.Ed. and B.Sc. B.Ed. programmes, the minimum eligibility is a
Senior School Examination Certificate (Class 12) from any recognized or accredited
Board of Education in India or abroad with a minimum of 50% in the aggregate, or any
grade equivalent to the same, with a provision of a relaxation of 5% in minimum
eligibility marks for SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/Widow/Divorcee/PWD candidates,
subject to the producing of the relevant certificate from a competent authority.
 For other UG programmes like B.F.A., B.B.A., B.C.A., B.A. (Honours), B.Com. (Honours),
B.Sc. (Honours), B.Sc. Fashion Design, B.Sc. Jewellery Design & Technology, B.A. (J.M.C.),
B.Com. Honours, (Proficiency in CA/CS), minimum eligibility is a Senior School
Examination Certificate (Class 12) from any recognized or accredited Board of Education
in India or abroad with minimum 48% in the aggregate, or any grade equivalent to the
same, with a provision of a relaxation of 5% in minimum eligibility marks for SC/ST/OBC
(Non-Creamy Layer) candidates and a relaxation of 5% in minimum eligibility marks for
physically handicapped candidates, subject to the producing of the relevant certificate
from a competent authority.

Procedure for Registration to appear in IISU-CET

 Candidates are required to fill their details in the registration form for IISU-CET available
on https://icfia.org/iisu/entrance
 A latest scanned coloured passport size photograph of the candidate needs to be
uploaded at the time of online registration.
 Recheck and verify all the details before submitting the form. Incomplete form will not
be accepted.
 Once the registration details have been submitted, the payment gateway will open for
depositing the fees. The registration fee for IISU-CET is Rs. 250/- .
 Payment can be made via online mode using credit card, debit card, or net banking.

 If the candidate requires psychometric testing, then the candidate should select the
option of psychometric testing in the registration form and pay the additional fee of Rs.
500 alongwith the IISU-CET registration fee.
 The Entrance test fee will be non-refundable and non-transferable in any circumstances.
 The applicants are advised to complete the registration process on or before June 19,
2021 in order to avoid any issue.
 Once the registration form is filled and the payment is made, the detailed instructions
regarding the IISU-CET will be communicated to the candidates separately via email.
 All the candidates who qualify the test will be directed to the admission process via
email.

1. Pattern of IISU Common Entrance Test(IISU-CET) :

 The entrance test shall be based on Multiple Choice Questions with four options. The
candidate will have to select only one correct option from the given four options.
 The Question paper shall consist of 100 multiple choice questions. The division of
questions will be as follows:
 40 questions shall be based on General Awareness.
 30 questions shall be based on English Proficiency.
 30 questions shall be based on numerical ability, mental ability and logical
reasoning.

2. Instructions regarding Test Conduction:
 The test shall be conducted with remote proctored online solution. It is
recommended that the candidates take the test on their Laptops/ Desk tops with
a working Webcam & Microphone with stable Internet Speed (>512 KBPS)
The Supported Browsers are:
i) Google Chrome Version 63 and above
ii) Firefox Version 52 and above
iii) Safari Version 12 and above
Candidates are required to ensure the availability of same along with high speed
Internet connection.
 In case of non-availability of laptops/desk tops, candidates can take the test on
their smart phones with a high-speed internet data. The test can be taken on
an Android device. The test is not supported by on iPhone (iOS) device. If a
candidate has an iPhone, she is advised to make arrangements for a laptop or
an android phone.
 It is recommended that the mobiles/laptops may be fully charged a day before
the test to avoid last minute glitches like electricity failure.

 It is strongly recommended that candidates do not navigate to any other window
during the test duration. Mobile phones should be kept on ‘Do Not Disturb”
(DND) mode if the test is being taken on mobile phones.
 The email address mentioned in the IISU-CET registration form will have to be
filled on the registration page to start the test.
 Candidates are not required to download any application for this online test. A
link will be sent from admin@mettl.com on the registered email address of the
candidates. Candidates are advised to save the above email address so that the
mails sent from admin@mettl.com do not go to spam. Kindly ensure that a
valid email address is filled in the registration form to ensure smooth conduct
of the test.
 Candidates should keep a valid identity card like, Aadhar/Pan Card/Driving
License handy before logging in to the examination portal.
