Replacement of ECG board

Assembling procedure requires two magnetized screwdrivers, type: Torx T10 and Philips
1x80 and a small needle nose pliers or forceps. During the process put a soft sheet, e.g.
textile or sponge, under the device to protect the cover. Use a box with compartments to
store the screws and washers in order not to mix the different sizes.

1. Unplug the power cord.


2. Turn the device off.
3. Wait for 3 minutes before disassembling the device.
4. Unscrew 3-3 screws from both paddle holders, the place of the screws is
indicated on the drawing with red circles. Do not unscrew the screws marked with
X.

5. Loosen the screws of battery pack under left paddle holder in order to remove the
battery with the white band. Screws stay in the battery.

6. Remove 8 pieces of screw from the rear cover (indicated with red circles on the
drawing). Remove carefully the rear cover. In case there is a built-in printer, pull
out the connector of flat cable of the printer from Power Board.

7. Unscrew 9 pieces of screw from front panel. Pay attention to different sizes.

8. Stand the device on its lower part, and remove the front cover carefully.
Disconnect the flat cables of Defi Board and ECG Board from front panel.

9. Remove the right upper screw of ECG Board marked with red circle, compress
the plastic spacer stubs with needle nose pliers or forceps and remove the ECG
Board.

10. In its place put the new ECG Board, pay attention to the right connection
including plastic spacer stubs.
11. Tighten the screw on ECG Board.
12. Connect the flat cables of ECG Board and Defi Board on front panel.
13. Put the front cover on the inner chassis. Lay the device on front cover.
14. Check the proper fitting and start to tighten the screws marked 2 in point 7 while
positioning the holes of metal sheets and screws. Tighten screws marked 3 and 1
and finish with screw marked 2.
15. Based on point 6, put the rear cover back. In case there is a built-in printer,
connect its flat cable to the connector of Power Board. Tighten all the 8 screws.
16. Put the battery back, tighten the screws based on point 5.
17. Place the paddle holders back and tighten 3-3 pieces of screw based on point 4.
18. Turn the device on (connect it to the mains), set date and time in configuration
menu.
19. In case an error message appears regarding the software version mismatch after
self-test, perform a full software upgrade process on the device.
20. After assembling the device, perform safety measurements and functional tests
according to relating instructions.
