Clinical lab fees

-Inform patients there is an OPC. They will be sent a bill and then they need to wait for medicare who sends then a cheque. Then
they email the cheque + the OPC to Clinical Labs. Sometimes there is a time discrepancy between rec the bill and rec the
medicare cheque.
-IF HCC – highlight this on the form and ask to be BULK BILLED

-Histopathology (ie biopsies) – orig $300 but after medicare, it’s $155
-Immunofluoresnce – the gap is $90
-Wound swab – the gap is $64
-Can use just a dry swab, Lara said is ok
-Even for candida, a dry swab will be ok
