LO2 Assess an organisation’s internal environment and capabilities

Part one: Determine (resources, competences, capabilities of your


selected organization on previous task)

Then you need to analyse the its internal environment and capabilities by
using these internal frameworks (VIRO, value supply chain).

Note when you use VIRO determine competitive advantages of company


(competitive disadvantages, competitive parity (equity), short term
competitive advantages, long term competitive advantages and sustainable
competitive advantages).P2

Part two: You need to use your own languages and own opinion to assess
strengths and weaknesses (at least two points) of an organisation’s internal
capabilities, structure and skill set.

Here you need to apply McKinsey’s 7S model and evaluate soft and hard
skills of selected company.M2
